Zoe Vandermeer is a coloratura soprano, Welsh triple harpist, Celtic harpist and composer specializing in music of the baroque, classical, and bel canto periods, and her own original compositions.

Zoe Vandermeer has given soprano and harp performances at the Bloomington Early Music Festival, Connecticut Early Music Festival, Glasgow International Early Music Festival Scotland, Rio International Harp Festival Brasil, International Festival de Deia Spain, American Swedish Historical Museum Philadelphia, Nairn Little Theatre Scotland, Pollok House National Trust Glasgow Scotland, American Harp Society, American Museum of Art Connecticut, HarpCon2003 Indiana, University of Massachusetts, Castle Clinton NY, Russian River Concerts CA, and elsewhere.


Zoe Vandermeer is on the Roster of the CT Commission on Culture and Tourism, is a prize-winning graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and is enrolled in the PhD Research in Performance Practice degree (online) at the University of Birmingham, UK. A recording artist, Zoe Vandermeer won Second Place in the London Classical Competition Vocal Division 2023, won the Silver Medal in 2022 by Global Music Awards for her singing and original composition, and most recently was a Quarter Finalist in the World Harp Competition 2024 featuring her performance of her own compositions for soprano and Celtic harp. Ms. Vandermeer was a Recipient of the CT Office of the Arts Grant in 2021, was First Place Winner of the B. Alexander International Vocal Competition 2014, and was a Recipient of the Dame Joan Sutherland Fund in 2012. The Antioch Ledger reviewed her composition 'The Enchanted Nightingale' as a 'moody and evocative piece' in which she sang the coloratura soprano solo with the Contra Costa Chamber Orchestra, Oakland Symphony Chamber Chorus and Sonos Handbell Ensemble. She was soloist in her string orchestra composition 'In Man's Heart is a Little Room', with the San Francisco Sinfonietta. Ms. Vandermeer's original Musical Fairy Tale has frequently been compared to Phantom of the Opera, Into the Woods, Sweeney Todd, Secret Garden, Narnia and Harry Potter. Ms. Vandermeer has been a featured guest on public radio stations KWMR Point Reyes, CA, KVON Napa, CA, KPFK Los Angeles, WFIU Bloomington, Indiana, and Moray Firth Radio Scotland. Articles about her original one woman baroque pastiche opera 'If Love...' can be found in the Swiss journal Harpa and Classical Singer Magazine. She looks forward to the release of her upcoming soprano and Welsh triple harp baroque CD. In 2026, Zoe Vandermeer will be collecting her specially made single action pedal harp from the harp maker in Europe.
